Insuring Your Events(05/23/2013) Joe Hernandez Are you planning a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, Quincienera, Anniversary, Birthday Bash or Family Reunion? Many of
these events when held way from your home, at a hotel or hall may require that
you provide insurance coverage for your event.
A lot goes into planning
these events and can include event planners and caterers. There are some
facilities that for a small fee can provide liability coverage for your event.
Some venues require that you provide coverage and deliver proof of coverage to
them prior to your event. You should inquire when you are selecting your venue
as to what is required prior to signing any agreement. If select a venue that
requires insurance you need to check with your homeowner’s insurance agent if
your policy covers you.
There are event insurance
policies that can be purchased just for your specific event. Prices can start
at $500.00 and they can go up from there depending on the limit of liability
you are required to purchase. Don’t take a chance of having to cancel your
event because you did not meet the contract requirements of the venue. If you
have questions or need someone to help you purchase insurance for your event
contact us at Branch-Hernandez and Associates or email to info@bhains.com or
